Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), situated in Abu Dhabi, offers full scholarships to all students admitted to its master’s and doctoral programs on a full-time basis. Students of all nationalities may apply.
MBZUAI offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in various AI fields, including computer science, computer vision, machine learning, natural language processing, and robotics.
These scholarships comprehensively cover tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, a competitive monthly stipend, and an annual ticket to the student’s home country.

Duration of Study: Two years for M.Sc. programs; and four years for Ph.D. programs.

Eligibility:
- Master’s degree applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or equivalent from a top-ranked university accredited or recognized by the U.A.E. and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.
- Doctoral applicants must have a Master of Science or equivalent from a top-ranked university accredited or recognized by the U.A.E. and have a minimum CGPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Students with only a bachelor’s degree may also apply to Ph.D. programs, provided that they have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 and demonstrate academic distinction.
- All applicants must provide proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL iBT with a minimum total score of 90, or IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.5, or EmSAT English with a minimum score of 1550).
How to Apply: Complete the online application form and upload the necessary personal documents. All documents must be submitted in English or include legal English translations. Required documents include:
- Official academic documents and transcripts, stamped and signed by the university authorities.
- Letters of recommendation: A minimum of two for master’s degree applicants and three for Ph.D. applicants.
- Statement of purpose: A 500- to 1,000-word essay describing your motivation for applying to the university.
- Research statement (for doctoral degree applicants): A one- to three-page document describing the research you are interested in working on.
- A Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general score. This is optional but considered a plus for master’s degree applicants, and mandatory for applicants with only a bachelor’s degree who are applying for a doctoral program. Minimum grades are 150 in verbal reasoning, 150 in quantitative reasoning, and 3.0 in analytical writing.
